Planck Signaling is delivering an on-board energy metering and billing solution for the domestically produced EMU-225 high-speed trainsets developed under TÜRASAŞ. The installation supplies each train with a complete energy measurement chain — energy meter, current transformer and GNSS/GSM antenna — covering all traction power input points on the vehicle.
The system carries out four-quadrant, single-phase energy measurement on the catenary side and transmits the metering data over GSM to a central data collection platform compliant with EN 50463 and TSI Energy (Regulation 1302/2014). The on-board equipment is engineered for railway mechanical and environmental conditions, and a web-based interface allows TÜRASAŞ to monitor live signals and consumption per unit.
On-board installation layout and component selection for the EMU-225 platform are under way.
Energy meters, current transformers and GNSS antennas will be sourced once planning is finalised.
The on-board metering chain will be installed on the EMU-225 trainsets and integrated with the central data collection system.
Acceptance tests and live operation hand-over schedule will be defined at a later stage.
