Planck Signaling designed and delivered a portable and modular test bench for railway-grade sensors, providing one-touch automatic testing and reporting for the speed, tachometer and acceleration sensors used across train fleets. The system was completed and handed over to TMS in 2023.
The bench is built around a modular hardware architecture that can be reconfigured for different sensor types, with an integrated software workflow that drives the test sequence, captures measurements and generates standardised reports — reducing manual effort and operator-dependent variation during sensor acceptance and maintenance.
Sensor families, test profiles and reporting requirements analysed with TMS; modular bench architecture and one-touch test workflow designed.
Test bench hardware built and software developed; speed, tachometer and acceleration sensor test routines integrated into a unified workflow.
Bench validated against reference sensors; measurement accuracy, repeatability and automated report outputs verified against acceptance criteria.
Portable test bench delivered to TMS for use in railway sensor testing; commissioning and handover completed.
